Early Spring Semester
GILC is supported by the Georgia Board of Regent’s with the aim of educating, building connections, breaking down cultural barriers and stereotypes, and expanding horizons.
GILC is a student conference held each February at Rock Eagle 4H Conference Center about 70 miles Southeast of Atlanta. Around 175-200 mostly undergraduate university students from both public and private schools across Georgia attend. Participants are mix of international students, returned study abroad students, and students simply interested in global, cultural connections. They spend a weekend together involved in a service project, presentations, a fashion and talent show, bond fires and a dance.
Clayton State Division of Student Affairs sponsors the cost of participation for those selected.
Annually in October
The Diversity and Multicultural Conference is a dynamic and interactive development opportunity, which gives participants the essential knowledge and strategies needed to lead and function in a globally-complex society. As a unique student conference, registration costs are very low; impact is high. Professional quality student presentations, conference meals, bags, and professional keynote and closing speaker are included.
The conference is sponsored by the Department of Campus Life and the Office of Multi-cultural Programs and Services.
